The Slow Stitching Movement Announcements, Inspiration, and Opportunities!

KEEP LEARNING!

mark goes to school

An important part of The Slow Stitching Movement is to ‘move’ beyond what is comfortable, our status quo, and to learn new skills in areas other than our stitching. We do this to exercise our brains (to keep them sharp) and to stimulate more creativity in other mediums, which will ultimately come home to roost in our various stitching pursuits.

TODAY will be my first day of school (Creative Non-Fiction Writing in Manhattan). I have my new notebook, pens, and backpack. Like all new ‘leaps of faith’ it’s a little scary. I’m 57 years old. But without taking a risk and a jump, our lives and creativity becomes stagnant and bland. Here’s to all of our new creative ‘leaps’ and journeys in 2015! What’s new for you this year?
